Comfort, warmth and exoticism
Suite Curry is a completely exterior loft-type apartment, facing East-South with independent access and WI-FI. If you get tired of admiring the views from the comfortable sofa, you have a 65-inch television with free access to HBO, Amazon Prime and Netflix. You will also find a bluetooth speaker so you can listen to your music.
The king side bed has been placed to contemplate nature from it, while you rest on a natural latex mattress 150 centimeters by 200 pampered in organic cotton sheets. We have installed a chest of drawers, two spacious closets designed to hold your luggage, and a hand-crocheted hanging chair acquired on a trip to Mexico. It is a real delight to read or just doze off.
The large open-plan kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, induction hob, crockery, cutlery, glassware, espresso machine, kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, mild frother for your cappucchinos and a 5-litre glass dispenser with water from the springs of our zone. In front of it is the cute handmade wooden dining table and, also, a relaxation corner with a rocking chair and a small table around an ecological pellet stove of Italian design.
The bathroom has an electric towel rack, a backlit mirror, a rain shower, an electric ceramic heater, a washer-dryer, a laundry basket, a hair dryer, a curling iron, a first aid kit, two complete sets of towels and amenities.
In the antechamber of the bathroom there is a useful hall to leave the hiking boots, backpacks and coats. It also has a pantry, supply of pellets and the lovely old water sink that our great-grandparent used and that we have restored.
The loft has access to the garden that borders the house and in which we grow aromatic herbs (mint, oregano, basil, sage, rosemary, coriander, thyme...), cherry tomatoes, jasmine, lavender and our new English roses by David Austin. Different species of birds visit it daily. Ocasionally couples of sparrows chose it to raise their chicks in one of the two little houses we have for them. Under a holly, in a small pond, we give long life to our roses. At the end of the garden there is a chill-out area with two confortable chairs and a small table. It is a lovely place to enjoy the last lights of the day with a an aperitif.
The entrance to the Suite, which is located on the first floor, is independent from the main house. You will access through this hall. Here we have left as a courtesy two pairs of Nordic walking poles and some binoculars for your excursions. You will also find a small wine cellar with fresh drinks and a basket with snacks for your evenings in the garden. You will not have to carry your luggage up the stairs. We take care of taking it to the loft.
The apartment (where the little balcony is located) is an extension of our family home which was erected in 1949 to install their carpentry workshop. We have just completely refurbished it to provide it with a brand new roof that our female cat Sweet Curry patrols night and day, and a new façade in the colour of toasted sand, the characteristic tone of the stones in the area. Our license number to operate as a Housing for Tourist Use is CR-09/771.
