The Southern secret of the Basque Country
Suite Curry is born from the passion for the beauty of life in the countryside. The one offered by going to bed at starry nights, sleeping rocked by a deep silence and waking up embraced by nature and the joyous bustle of the birds on the other side of the window. Whoever has brought up in a village knows the peace and well-being that these experiences provide; who has not, the most rewarding immersion is pending...
The newest wing of the great-grandparent's house already provided us with a privileged position in front of forests frequented by roe deer and foxes, and also at full moon rise. What a show! We have applied ourselves to endowing it with inner beauty to make the experience even more pleasant.
Under a sloping wooden roof, on the first floor, we have built a gorgeous apartment of 55 m2, for 2 people, that we have provided with comfort, warmth, exoticism and a irresistible boho-chic vibe. A charming and bright loft, full of great little details, impregnated by the aroma of roses and aromatic herbs from our downstairs garden. In the afternoon, its chill-out corner is the best place to enjoy the reflection of the sunset in the countryside with a glass of Rioja. At night, solar lights make it a magical place.
We are in the South of the Basque Country, in Pariza, a peaceful hamlet of farmers and gardeners. The population of 30 inhabitants doubles every weekend with the arrival of relatives and descendents of former countrymen. Its exceptional location is its strong point: we are just 20 minutes by car from Vitoria, the capital of the Basque Country, 30 minutes from the Rioja Alavesa wineries and at the Western gateway to the Montaña Alavesa, a natural paradise plenty of trekking, Nordic walking and mountain biking routes, where you can also practise golf, climbing, paragliding. A popular activity is the picking of a wide variety of mushrooms in the surrounding woods. The star of its landscapes, the Izki Natural Park, allows you to explore the largest marojo oak forest in Europe.
The best of all? The guarantee that you will not find queues or crowds. Mass tourism still does not know the Southern secret of the Basque Country.
